The model MF100 series trainers comprise the following unique features:
|
| 1. |
Turn-key Training System - |
|
Instructor manuals, full-color CD's (PowerPoint and interactive formats), student manuals and workbooks, 24/7 online help, plus, we train your instructor(s) - all you need to do is add the students! |
| 2. |
Integrated Loading - |
|
The transition from classroom to field can be daunting if a student learns hydraulics in an "imaginative" environment. Also, learning in a "no-load" environment is not conducive to a rewarding learning experience. The MF100 series trainers leave nothing to the imagination because both the cylinder and motor can operate with and without load. |
| 3. |
No Product Bias - |
|
The Fluid Power Training Institute is a respected professional training institution. Our training systems are built with products from a number of reputable manufacturers. The goal is to learn, not sell! |
| 4. |
No Industry Bias - |
|
An instructor will feel as comfortable teaching mobile hydraulics as he/she will teaching industrial hydraulics. |
| 5. |
Environmentally Friendly - |
|
Oil is completely biodegradeable (optional), and only needs to be changed every 5 years. |
| 6. |
Time-Efficient Learning - |
|
Over 50 typical component-related problems can be introduced at the flick of a switch. The student never has to leave the trainer while the instructor builds-in a fault (with troubleshooting option). |
| 7. |
Pressure-Compensated or Load-Sensing Pump - |
|
Students who learn hydraulics in a fixed-displacement (open-center) environment have difficulty with the transition to a pressure manifold (closed-center) environment, i.e., pressure-compensated, and vice-versa.
The MF100-TS solves this problem because it can operate seamlessly in both environments.
The optional load-sensing pump can operate in both pressure-compensated or load-sensing modes.
The interaction between the outstanding full-color PowerPoint presentation, which shows exactly how a load-sensing system works, together with the real-time load-sensing system, makes load-sensing easy to teach and learn - there is no easier method! |
| 8. |
Teach both Practical Hydraulics and Troubleshooting Hydraulics with one training system - |
|
The MF100-TS transitions seamlessly from a basic/intermediate hydraulics trainer into a comprehensive troubleshooting hydraulic components trainer. To facilitate one-on-one pump testing, the entire power-unit swings out into plain view - just another real-world feature designed into the MF100 series trainers which allows the student to learn how to execute in-line pump flow testing, pump inlet restriction testing, and prime mover speed testing. |
| 9. |
Features components typically found in mobile AND industrial hydraulic systems - |
|
Over 20 different components, and more than 12 diagnostic instruments make the MF100-TS the most well-equipped training system available. |
| 10. |
Quick-disconnect safety covers - Another FPTI exclusive! - |
|
To enhance safety in the classroom, the trainers are equipped with exclusive, spring-loaded safety covers on all quick-disconnects. Although it is highly unlikely that a quick-disconnect will fail to close, our designers felt that since a student works in such close proximity of the trainer that it would be prudent to eliminate the possibility of a direct strike in the unlikely event of a quick-disconnect malfunction. |
| 11. |
Proportional Directional Control Valve Package - |
|
The optional bolt-on and plug-in electronics package includes a proportional valve, amplifier, multi-meter, voltmeter, linear potentiometer (joystick), and plug-and-play color-coded wiring system.
Loosen two bolts, slide-and-lock into position the electronics package, and plug a single wire into a 24VDC receptacle and the plug-and-play electronics module becomes a seamless addition to the mainframe trainer which can be used in conjunction with all on-board components.
In addition, the amplifier adjustments are conveniently exposed so students can learn to set all the parameters associated with proportional electronic control. |
