The Great Basin Community College, located in Elko, Nevada, is gearing up to serve the local mining industry. With a shortage of mechanics and technicians with sound diagnostic skills, the Nevada mining industry is partnering with the Great Basin Community College to develop a state-of-the-art hydraulics training program. |
With a number of MF100-TS trainers already in the classroom, along with the MF200CAV cavitation trainer and MF300VCLS-TS hydrostatic/steering trainer, the college has just added an MF100-TSE trainer (pictured above) with advanced diagnostics package. They are also purchasing two MF100-PH Practical Hydraulics simulators which are currently under production. The college aims to teach an accelerated learning course which will dramatically improve mechanics' and technicians' hydraulic system/component diagnostic skills.
